Kevin Richey started where a lot of people start — following Dave Ramsey’s baby steps, working toward debt freedom, doing everything he was supposed to do. Then life got hard. Six kids, an economic crisis, and a plan that wasn’t built for what actually happens. It took years to recover and find stability again. What pulled him forward wasn’t a new budget strategy. It was a shift in how he thought about money itself. It started small — using credit cards strategically for rewards and realizing there was more leverage available than he’d been taught to look for. That cracked the door open. In 2022, his brother-in-law handed him Becoming Your Own Banker by R. Nelson Nash. He read it. Then he read it again. He found Nate Dean, went through the course, had his own discovery call, brought his wife in, and they started their first policy in May 2023. The moment he knew this was his work came during a live event. He heard Brandon say that he loved talking to the people he works with. Something shifted. Kevin knew he was supposed to be part of this. That’s why he built Richey Insurance Solutions and partners with Unlimited Life Concepts — not to sell a product, but because he spent years navigating a financial system that wasn’t designed for him, and he believes others deserve to know there’s a better way.
